Data collected
Pennywize processes information needed to operate the service: name, email address, login credentials, preferences, budget and financial data you enter or import, messages sent to the copilot and screenshots if you share them. Technical data may also be processed to operate and secure the service and monitor its performance.
Purposes
This data is used to provide the service, manage your account and budget, respond to your requests, secure access, send transactional emails and improve the product. It is not resold.
Hosting and storage
The application and its database are hosted on Laravel Cloud in Frankfurt, Germany, in the EU Central (Frankfurt) region. Uploaded files are stored and processed in the European Union. These locations concern hosting and storage; they do not describe where AI, email and payment providers process data.
AI features
To respond to a request, AI providers receive your messages and the financial context necessary to process them. If you share a screenshot, its content may also be sent to these providers to extract useful information. Avoid including information that is not needed for your request.
Legal basis
Processing is based on providing the service, our legitimate interest in securing and improving Pennywize and, where applicable, your consent for certain communications or audience measurement.

Technical providers
Pennywize uses providers for hosting, transactional emails, payments and AI features. Data needed for these functions may be processed by these providers. For details about providers, processing locations and any data transfers, contact us at the address below.
Access to your data
Private features require authentication. The application checks that requested resources belong to the signed-in account. These access controls do not guarantee the absence of risk: protect your credentials and report any suspicious access.

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, and exercise your rights to object or restrict processing where permitted by applicable law, by emailing contact@askpennywize.com.
